On Saturday, March 29, the Old Saybrook Middle School Technology Student Association (TSA) Club competed against other Connecticut middle schools in an annual competition held at Killingly High School. After the judging was finalized, several Old Saybrook students achieved top three honors in a variety of categories, including the Tech Bowl and various structural builds.
Students in the TSA club at OSMS work to develop a variety of 21st-century skills. They do this by selecting a project of interest they wish to pursue. Through a student-driven process, they work within the guidelines of the project to create an effective physical model. The entirety of this process allows students to foster ownership, identify and solve problems, pursue a genuine technological interest, and learn through a hands-on environment.
